Cyber Monday and #GivingTuesday

What a great weekend!

Our PHENOMenal Members raised nearly $1,500! But we still have a long way to go to meet our $5,000 matching opportunity by Saturday December 5th! Help us get there by donating at bit.ly/PHENOM10K. Share the fundraiser with your friends and colleagues. Post it to Facebook and Twitter!

Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday and all donations you make at bit.ly/PHENOM10K will be eligible for prizes that can boost your donation to PHENOM. Check out the details here. Any donations made today will qualify for #GivingTuesday prizes.

And don’t forget — if you’re doing some Cyber Monday shopping on Amazon to use smile.amazon.com and make sure a portion of your purchase gets donated to PHENOM. We’re listed under our full name “Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts.”

Will you be joining us Saturday December 5th from 12PM-3PM at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester for our Winter General Assembly Meeting. We’ll be celebrating the final day of our 10 Days to $10K Challenge, discussing what “free higher ed” should look like in Mass, and looking forward to next semester’s Campus Chapter actions and Public Higher Education Advocacy Day (March 7, 2016). Check out a full agenda here. We’ll provide lunch, but you have to RSVP by replying to this email.

One final note — PHENOM is super busy this week. Join PHENOM’s President, Kimberly Selwitz, at Raise Up Mass’s rally tomorrow on the State House Steps at 11:30AM, as the coalition celebrates turning in more than 155,000 signatures. She’ll be speaking about PHENOM’s work, the importance of the Fair Share Amendment to tackling the Student Debt Crisis in Massachusetts, and celebrating our PHENOMenal members who collected more than 1,500 signatures. Tune in to this livestream on Tuesday at 10AM to see PHENOM’s Executive Director, Natalie Higgins, at the Center for American Progress’s Exploring the Geography of Student Debt: How States and Municipalities Can Act.
