Approximately 42 members of PHENOM attended the Annual Meeting June 6, 2009 at Springfield Technical Community College. Following a get-to-know-each-other icebreaker, members discussed what PHENOM did well this year, what could have been done better, and what we should do next year.

In the business portion of the meeting:
1. A proposal to amend the by-laws was presented by the Executive Committee. The impact of the amendment was to rename the “Board” as the “Delegate Assembly”, and the “Executive Committee” as the “Board”.
A motion to accept the proposal was made by Micki Betton. It was seconded by Coleleen Avedikian. The motion passed unanimously.
2. An election was held for 8 seats on the Board. Nominations were solicited and accepted before the Annual Meeting. Additional nominations were made on the floor. The election was help in accordance with Article IV of the By-Laws.
The following candidates were elected to serve 7/1/09 – 6/30/10:
