The Onion Takes on Adjunct Faculty Issues

Thanks to The Onion for raising up adjunct (part-time/contingent) faculty issues, even if it’s satirical. Too many cuts to public higher education funding in Massachusetts resulted in the exploitation of adjunct faculty. There’s so much to be done here, including proportionate pay to full-time faculty and access to healthcare and other vital benefits.

After remarking upon the frigid temperatures and blustery conditions during his walk into work this morning, Michael Halloran, an adjunct professor of communications and media studies, expressed hope Wednesday that one of his students would leave behind a pair of warm gloves.
