Joel Spiegel, UMass Amerst Student Organizer, was quoted in this MassLive article:
Joel Spiegel, a student with the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts, before the rally said the issue of debt “is an everyone issue.”
He said education should be free from kindergarten through grade 18, meaning college and graduate school.
And of the myriad issues students were addressing he said “we’re much stronger when we’re together. We’re a stronger unified student body.”
